Well Cosmos moved into the 2nd leg phase of the round robin of CWC...n the first match was against Warriors on Eden Garden Grounds....in the previous encounter was a nail bittin finsih with cosmos winnin it by a hairline margin. The toss was as always an integral part of the game n once again Cosmos Capt won n decided to put the warriors to bat first.

BOWLING REVIEW : The opening bowlers of Cosmos..southee n pollock gave a subtle strt wth the warrior opening batsmen being cautious...bt aftr the first 10 ovrs they nvr stopped to take full control of the game till the last ball bein bowled ...bth the openers hayden n ABD rgstrd century n makin a 200 plus run opening stand before the first wkt fell making it a record in CWsim....southee was the only pick of the bowlers who managed a five wkt haul on his debut tournament.

BATTING REVIEW : Warriors mngd to put up a huge total on the brd fr Cosmos to chase...it ws not impossible bt indeeda steep task...Cosmos gave a quite strt with afridi goin off early but thn watson n viresh again put forward an outstandin 2nd wkt stand but the reqd runrate ws the only fctr which caused pblm the whole time...with each of them managed to make a valiant century it was all too late to reach the target with the 50 overs with cosmos fallin behind by 18 runs.

* Warriors openers scored individual centuries making it a new record in CWsim
* Southee became the fastest player of Cosmos to bag a 5 wkt haul on his debut tournament.
* Viresh becomes the only player in CWsim to remain not out on makin 3 centuries in 4 matches in CWC till nw...
* Total Put up by Cosmos was the highest total by a team chasing and still losing the match in CW.
* This was 2nd highest total put up by Cosmos in CW.

CWC Jan 2013 | Group A : World Dominators v The Cosmos | 7th Jan
Two of the oldest teams of CW met again in the CWC clash at Eden Gardens n old wounds opened up for Cosmos once again after they had a bitter defeat at the hands of Domz few days back in T20 Boom Finale...Time has come to retaliate n make amends of it...With certain necessary chges in the team captain sourav ganguly heads off to the centre pitch for an all important toss which he wins n elected to field first

Batting : With a modest total of 275 put up by domz the cosmos strted their innings with a jolt of losing opener afridi on the 2nd ball of the first over...But after tht there wasanother impeccable batting display bywatson n viresh as they pile on 219 runs 2nd wicket partnership with both registering centuries...Viresh secured his 2nd century in this CWC edition n remains not out till nw...Cosmos went on to achieving the target by 46 overs to seal a comfortable victory

Bowling : It was a slow start for the Domz while a contained bowling attack frm southee n pollock...but the openers slowly gained momentum n kept the scoreboard ticking at all times only to pick up pace whn spinner duo afridi n vettori came into the picture...Vettori ended up with another disappointing performance castin a shadow of doubt....but with the fall of the openers the runs kept on comin but the wkts kepton fallin and debutant Tim southee made an impressive maiden day performance chalking up 3 wkts

The third match for Team Cosmos of this CWC 2013 edition n it was against the former CWC champs Thunder Strikers at their Home Ground Kotla...the pitch which is primarily a green pitch favours the bowlers n till nw the matches played on this pitch has given a mixed bag outcome...Toss was once again won by Cosmos captain n he reluctantly chose to bowl first

Bowling : TS was never given a strong foothold upon which the batsmen could create a foundationn wickets kept on fallin on both ends on a regular pattern with TS gettin all out on 156 in just 29 overs...impressive bowling performance by vettori n malinga...itswas a comeback performance by vettori since he was goin thru a roughpatch for the past few months...

Batting : When Cosmos came to bat they realised tht battin on this pitch is one hell of a difficult thing with ball hardly comin on the bat n in between keepin low...keeping wickets was a main concern for Cosmos which kept on fallin with watson play the anchorin role at one end makin a fine n strong half century...with the pressure risin every moment n tilting the balance ofvictory to TS at one point Ferguson played a anchorin role to guide Cosmos over the victory line on the 40th over.

The "Ashes of CW" is wat the term used nw whenever these 2 ancient giants take on the centre stage to battle each others… n it was a very important match for both the teams...While Domz wanted to win tokeep their hopes to the semis open...Cosmos on the other hand wanted to win this to seal their berth in the semis...Cosmos Capt won the toss n decided to put domz into batting

Bowling : Domz were never given a foothold inthe match even on the dry pitch n flattrack like Edens...its like it was a batsman's nightmare...wic kets kept on tumbling from both ends with onlyAshwell Prince create a brief anchoring innings of 47 before the whole domz innings was bundled out for 146 in just 29.3 overs...pollock ,vettori,steyn n southee all shared 2 wkts each...it was a come back game for steyn after he was dropped frm the 2nd game onwards...

Batting : Cosmos never knew tht way they were gettin into n before they could realise they found themselves in quite a puddle with 4 wkts fallin in quick succession all thanks to bajji's impeccable bowling...But today was the day of Cosmos captain aka DADA to show some Dadagiri on the pitch n played a sublime innings of 61 to take cosmos near to the finishin line with pollock n vettori givin a final touch
