hi n goodevening everyone...

this is Jonathan agnew n Simon hughes bringing a special edition of Quasar....

today
we will get to see a moment where 2 of the main members of team cosmos
will bid adieu to their team towards the end of the t20 knockout...

but
at this moment the talk of the town is the ongoin final phase of the
knockout challenge...here 3 of the most dominating t20 teams has taken
the centre stage to battle it out...the teams are superstars , strikers n
the cosmos...3 massive powerhouse teams on one stage n let me tell
sparks gonna fly so high tht history today will be rewritten in a new
way....

3 games are set for the final clash...each team facin the
other 2 on one on one affair n its do or die for everyone ...one
mistake n its kingdom com for tht team....

to strt with the first match was the match between

cosmos vs strikers at the cosmos home ground...

let
me tell u even hogwarts wont be able to create such a mystifying pitch
in their magical life to wat the cosmosians hv created..nobody has any
idea wat this pitch will do on the d-day....
so as usual the toss was important n stirkers won it but decided to field hence takin the first gamble...

the
cosmos batted brilliantly till the 16th over after which smhow they
forgot how to hold the bat n also swing it in the manner it were
supposed to...another magical performance was seeing by eishan aka the
wall n viresh to put up a commanding yet achievable score on the
board...baptu on the other hand also played his part...but they got to
see a sight tht it wasnt a bowling paradise at all...
n hence the
strikers didnt pay in kind...rite frm the first bowl they gave a strong
response...steyn was the only survivor to block the rampage but the rest
went for a plundering of a life...

it all came down to the last over of the match
5 RUNS REQUIRED OF 6 BALLS..
usually
one should be packin bags n one shld be cheerin up frm the stand but
smthg out there decided to play with fate once more...

the fate of tht over was as follows
1st ball: 1 run
2nd ball: 0 run
3rd ball: 2 runs
4th ball: 0 run
5th ball: 0 run
6th ball: wicket

man i almost chewed my whole right hand in tht over n simon hogged cigarettes like it was his last day on earth...
wat
a disciplined over by viresh ..n absolutely majestic site once the last
ball was over n eishan endin it by takin a catch behind the wicket in
those safe gloves of his...
so first blow is over but still another
one to go....n cosmos needs to improve their bowling performance a lot
more n i hope afridi gets over that hauntin over of his...

In
one word to describe my feeling rite nw will be emphatic...an eternal
bliss is feeled in the cosmos players room...after a dampened strt to
ftp-2...this is smthg tht was needed to seal the ending...a momentous
victory by team cosmos lifting up the t20 Knockout trophy by defeatin
the giants Superstars...a well fortified match played by the entire
team...rite frm the battin to the bowling....
The openers once again
displayed charismatic battin to its best..both viresh n baptu played a
superb knock to give a good foundation only to be followed my the
majetic wall eishan....n thn finally watson played a blistering knock in
the end to put up a fighting total on the pitch which has a tendency to
slow down towards the end....
the bowlin at first got hammered in
all dept with steyn totally lost out in the middle...but an incredible
cmbk by afridi n broad to peer up the pressure in the middle order of
superstars...vettori n viresh provided the perfect backup...but thn came
the 2 god gifted overs for cosmos....one by watson n one by
steyn....watson gave just 2 runs n took 2 wickets to create a severe
pressure on the superstars leadin to the last over requirin 18
runs...cap viresh had enough confidence not to bowl himself but to hand
it to the able hands of steyn. n thn magic seems to cmbk in those
fingers of steyn n delivered a perfect 6 deliveries to nail the t20
knockout trophy...an indeed apt innings by the entire team of
cosmos...may the force be with them forever..

the success they need...

“THE WALL” a very apt name given to one of
the most consistant player of cosmos....a man of few words n answers only with
his bat as elegantly as possible...to me he is one of the pillars of a team who
will be in eternal debt to this man who bids his final farewell on this day 30th
of march...one must say tht these 8 months in the world of cricsim has been an
eventful n prosperous journey for this young lad...a career has been a epitome
of classic cricket as its best....a career involving around 28 odi matches
scoring a overall 1150 runs with an impressive average of 42.59 with 10 half
centuries during tht course of time..the only thing is tht wall failed to book
a maiden century in tht list...its a sad feeling seeing the departure of such a
great batsman so early but cosmos will forever sense his absence ....well with
the departure of him cosmos will surely be feeling a big gap in tht lineup but
lets see wats in store in the upcoming months for the whole new looks of team
cosmos....well my collegue simon got in the nick of time to have tht last hearty

a very emotional one indeed...a tough decision to make but didn’t do it
alone..had smone to discuss with by my side n at the end realised tht
it was necessary...
Simon: a fruitful career but a short one...dont u think it was a bit premature?
Eishan:
not at all...its better to swing hard thn to miss n swing low..it was a
pure dream journey for me n thn i realised tht it time for the more
younger lads to step in n carry on the torch...
Simon:
indeed u ar a man of few words but a healthy ones...we surely gonna
miss u in action on the ground..so do u plan to stick around the team as
a interim member of the board...
Eishan:
well as of nw..nothin is on the plate..i need to return to my family
but this 9 months of gruelling tours n series...will look into tht later
on after all its my dream team n would definitely like to be on the
board of discussion for the better future of this team...

A
man n its creation well together sums up as COSMOS...1st july 2011 saw
the birth of a team that has strided a thousand obstacles to reach the
NO. 1 spot in both the international formats of cricsim...a feat which
is smthg to ponder about...behind such a achievement lies the hands of
certain members of cosmos with names like viresh , eishan n creator
baptu...but the name tht am gonna talk abt is the person who nw leaves
this creation in the able hands of his apprentices...mr thinker was the
name i gave to him as he uses more of his grey matter n the matter tht
shld be used but still he survived against all odds...simon says he is a
person tht balances cosmos but i still beg to differ...he was a mere
pawn on a chess board of the most ultimate gamble knwn in cricsim
world...he indeed played one of the most significant innings for his
team but at the same time left them in perils whn needed the most..god
knw wat happenes tht he suddenly forgets to run in between the wickets n
wastes a hell lot of balls...i really used to piss me off.....to my
he is more of a enigma wrapped in a box of mystery thn a myth for cosmos
who has survived thru time n space n achieved smthg tht is quite
impossible n for tht i indeed salute him...i still wish he hadnt left
the team but smtms ideas n notions shld be respected...i hv been hard on
him frm the moment i stepped in this office but probably it was for the
good...he after all did lift the final trophy for his team on the last

My Final Words In cricsim as Cosmosian:

Well it has been wonderful journey which began with mere peek of me in
cw world soon aftr i joined site.. n astonishingly it was baptu's
amazing race (many of you may not know it) which pulled me in then
slowly i got caught in the storm of cricsim started by sourav which soon
engulfed the whole site n all of us. n finally got attached to Cosmos
which then looked like a small unit.. we had best 3 fantasy mebers
viresh, baptu, me in terms of activeness and fresh ideas.. n i still
remeber how i choosed the first squad for cosmos n Dynamos n conducted
auction as well aftr some initial disagrements on previous allotments..
man o man it was never looking back since then didnt even knew when
baptu n me started conducted team meetings n viresh was always there
with full support. now 8 months have passed gone through a lot of
experience Mostly Good and now Leaving cricsim on high note when form is
good . Team is Rank 1 in both Formats for over 3 Months (less or more).
I have made so many frds n i dont have any particualar reason why i m
leaving. i just feel its Right time..
All the best to all . I will be around As admin and Hope Viresh n Yasin
Take Cosmos to more Heights then We toghether have brought Till Now..
