Re: Thread for West Indies Tour of Australia, 2012/13
James Faulkner has replaced fellow allrounder Moises Henriques in the Australia squad for the first two ODIs against West Indies. Henriques was ruled out for those games after undergoing surgery on his right index finger on Saturday.
Faulkner, 22, who plays for Tasmania, has played one T20 international for Australia, against India last year. He'll join the Australia squad on January 30, after playing for Prime Minister's XI in Canberra the day before.
The first two ODIs of the five-match series will be played in Perth, starting February 1.

Good for Tasmania. I honestly didn't know that they had lights on Manuka Oval for a day-nighter.

Re: Thread for West Indies Tour of Australia, 2012/13
Australia's India Test tour plans - and those for the ODI series against West Indies - have been placed on hold by the sight of David Warner suffering a painful blow on the left thumb while batting in the nets at the WACA ground.
Warner was struck by a prancing delivery from Mitchell Johnson in the lively WACA nets and showed considerable discomfort before being whisked away for scans on the thumb.
"David Warner was hit on the left thumb by Mitchell Johnson while batting in the nets and will go for a precautionary scan," a Cricket Australia spokesman said.
While at this stage it is unclear how seriously Warner's thumb is hurt, his injury has given the national selectors pause the day before they were due to announce the squad for the tour of India, due to begin in February.
The first ODI against the West Indies is in Perth on Friday.

Warner injury not serious
"While the fracture is very minor, it is not worth taking any risks. The injury will keep him out of at least the next two matches against West Indies. We'll assess how he is progressing after that to determine his availability for the remainder of the series."
