CWC Match 1 : Group A: Superstars v Cosmos - Page 20 P9VKj

Date : 16th December
Time : 8 PM IST
Venue : The Star Dome

The stage is all set for the biggest of all events to take place. The Cricket World Cup is finally a few hours ago and all teams are ready to give their best to win the trophy.

The Superstars face The Cosmos in the tournament opener and stakes are high in this opening game. Both teams will want to start on a high rather than play a catch up game later.

The Superstars have not had much practice going into this first game and the new recruits will try prove their worth if they get chance to play the first game.

The Team management has yet not decided the starting XI for the game.

The match promises to be a great one as the Superstars performed quite well in their first ever major tour reaching the super sixes with uppermost ease. The last time these two teams faced. It was in the first match of the T20 Boom Super-Six. Glenn Mcgrath was the hero of the match after he ran through the batting order of The Cosmos. The Superstars will be hoping for another similar show from him. But there are doubts of his inclusion in the first match as he has been found skipping the training session today due to some sort of injury on his knee. It is just a rumor though and nothing is official yet.

Now all we can wait is for the match to unfold at the Star Dome tomorrow at 8 PM IST and It will be a grand occasion undoubtedly.

That Wicket Brings the End to the Contest which has been filled with some DRAMA.At one stage it looked like Cosmos winning and then suddenly the Super Stars came back with some ferocious fifty from Ross Taylor and some big hitting from Pollard,but it dint last for much time Though.Well i would like to carry on the Presentation process now.

First of all i would like to Invite the losing Captain Sourav Chakraborty to come over here and speak a few words about his team's performance today.

The boys tried their hard but it was all way less to what Steyn did today..
none of us could play him well at all and we lost wickets at bad times.

first of all i would like to say tht it was a grt pleasure to play this inaugural match against the superstars in star dome...Smile the boys played well ...the battin is a bit of concerned thing rite nw...the openin four players are doin fn but not after tht ....i knw the pitch will falter towards the end of the game so my target was ard 270....but the bowlin was phenomenal..u hardly see wat steyn did today n viresh was superb with his 10 ovrs...again enjoyed to majestic partenship with eishan n hopin to do tht again ...so this was our first match a lot is still left n lot of hard work yet to be done..Smile

The star dome pitch always is a batting paradise in first 20-30 overs of match ...
