Who will reach the finals first??
Emirates IPL | Qualifier 1 | Pune Warriors India vs Gujarat Dandiyars | 03 November 2012 | 7 PM IST
First topic message reminder :

Since this is an important match for both teams, they would give their maximum to enter the FINAL.Both are very good teams with a lot of talents.November 3 will witness some real action if
both of the team played to their potential
ARE YOU GUYS READY??????????
THE TEAMS
The only unbeaten team in Emirates IPL.
The opening combo of Arjun and Shahzad will hold the key for PWI who may exploit the batting conditions of EMIRATES PARADISE.The presence of two wonderful spinners,MIshra and Ahmed can trouble the deep batting of GD
Moreover, the blazing form of the skipper is also a good positive for them.If they play to their full potential, even GD cant stop them
NAQI : Well we may hav won 6 out of 6.But this is the real stage to perform. We cant afford to choke after playing so well in the group games.GD is a good team and I respect them. But sorry,we really need this win and get to the final first.
Bowling in this pitch wil be a real challenge for pacers.ITs a batting paradise and we hope our spinners and batsmen do their best.Hope 4 a good game
A bit luckier team, they said :bitch: They bounced from tough situations they never said :bitch:
One big guy named Inzamam-Ul-Haq can turnover the game with both bat and ball.Richard Levi and PD are also looking gud means they too have a challenging opening stand.Their only concern will be the formlessness of Rishabh.
Bowling has been inconsistent, but is delivering when required.Rahul Sharma will be the key in this slowish track as he can confuse the batsmen.
If they can shine in all 3 departments,PWI will have to w8 further to reach the FInALE
Rahul Sharma : Well,I played a match for PWI.They got some serious talent. This track looks useful to me and other spinners. This may favour PWI more as they have 2 serious spinners.Hope 4 a gud game

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
0.1: J Franklin (VeryDefensive) to A Ramesh (VeryAggressive) - 1 runs
On the legs and nibbled through square to get Arjun off the mark first ball
0.2: J Franklin (VeryDefensive) to A Shehzad (VeryAggressive) - 0 runs
Length ball, seaming back in from outside off, chopped square on the off side
0.3: J Franklin (VeryDefensive) to A Shehzad (VeryAggressive) - 6 runs
Shehzad was down the track and it looked as if he wouldn't clear long-on, but he did. A huge six almost 106m high

Drifts down the leg side and the ball flicks off Arjun's pad and dribbles away for a single
0.6: J Franklin (VeryDefensive) to A Shehzad (VeryAggressive) - 1 runs
Dropped to mid-on and they call for a tight one, picking up overthrows when the shy at the non-striker's end misses. Good Start for PWI

Bumper from Albie but it doesn't live up to the bowler's name, Shehzad up on his toes and whipping his wrists through a pull shot that sails over square leg and away for another boundary
1.3: A Morkel (VeryDefensive) to A Shehzad (VeryAggressive) - 1 runs
Fuller, too wide this time, Shehzad has to reach for it and steers to third man for one

Wide of midwicket this time on the front foot and they take two.
PWI scores 72 runs off Powerplay Overs. They are scoring at a brilliant pace no doubt
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Score: 72/1 from 6.0 overs (RR: 12.00, RRR: 7.36)
N McKenzie 6* (2b 1x4)
A Ramesh 26* (15b 4x4)
A McDermott: 2.0-0-20-1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.1: J Franklin (VeryDefensive) to A Ramesh (Aggressive) - 1 runs
Short of a good length on leg stump and Arjun is away immediately, working it behind square for a single
6.2: J Franklin (VeryDefensive) to N McKenzie (Normal) - 1 runs
Nicely done, pitched up outside off, appeared to curve in a hint, McKenzie reaches forward and pushes it past mid-off for a single
6.3: J Franklin (VeryDefensive) to A Ramesh (Aggressive) - 2 runs
Angling in and that's been worked away through the leg side through square leg for a couple
6.4: J Franklin (VeryDefensive) to A Ramesh (Aggressive) - 4 runs
Goes down the track and thrashes it over mid-off for a one bounce four, timed that to perfection

Magnificent shot! Arjun puts his foot forward and drives it through covers for a four, Elegance written all over the shot. Back to back 4s for Arjun
6.6: J Franklin (VeryDefensive) to A Ramesh (Aggressive) - 2 runs
Short and wide, gets on the back foot and cracks that through point into the deep for a couple of runs
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Score: 86/1 from 7.0 overs (RR: 12.29, RRR: 6.85)
A Ramesh 39* (20b 6x4)

Goodish length, gets forward and guides it behind point for a single

Short of a good length on the off, Arjun gets back and punches it towards extra cover, a fumble allows them a single
7.3: I ul-Haq (VeryDefensive) to N McKenzie (Normal) - 1 runs
Lands full outside off and it yields just a single, digs it out wide of cover for just one run
7.4: I ul-Haq (VeryDefensive) to A Ramesh (VeryAggressive) - 2 runs
Turns the face and works it gently through square leg, the fielder at deep backward square leg has a fair distance to cover, two more
7.5: I ul-Haq (VeryDefensive) to A Ramesh (VeryAggressive) - MISSED RUN OUT... 1 runs
Leading edge from Arjun as he tried to close the face, the ball rolled towards point and Franklin, this time, fielded brilliantly, diving full length to his right, that created a mix-up in the middle and McKenzie, running towards the striker's end, was gone had Franklin hit the stumps direct
7.6: I ul-Haq (VeryDefensive) to N McKenzie (Normal) - 0 runs
Back of a length on middle, gets on the back foot and turns it to square leg

Short of a good length in the channel outside off, shoulders arms to that one
8.2: R Sharma (VeryDefensive) to A Ramesh (VeryAggressive) - OUT! 0 runs
Trapped in front is Arjun! Angling in from round the wicket and it held its line, Arjun had made his mind up to play the paddle-sweep, struck him in line, but we need another replay to see if that would have gone on to hit the stumps, the umpire thought so and Pune Warriors India are in trouble now as they loses their another opener

M Loye 29* (27b 2x4)
R Sharma: 3.0-1-15-1
17.1: R Sharma (Defensive) to N McKenzie (VeryAggressive) - 0 runs
A touch fuller and wider this time on the off stump but he mistimes the drive to the off side
17.2: R Sharma (Defensive) to N McKenzie (VeryAggressive) - 0 runs
Drifts on the pads and he clips it straight to square leg. Another dot ball
17.3: R Sharma (Defensive) to N McKenzie (VeryAggressive) - 0 runs
Goes on the back foot and clips it to point but no run for PWI
17.4: R Sharma (Defensive) to N McKenzie (VeryAggressive) - 0 runs
Missed that! Wanted to hit that hard but he missed that. Rahul Sharma trying his best as he bowled 4 back to back dot balls.
17.5: R Sharma (Defensive) to N McKenzie (VeryAggressive) - 0 runs
Angles it across and he pushes it down to point but due to magnificent fielding, it's a dot ball yet again
17.6: R Sharma (Defensive) to N McKenzie (VeryAggressive) - 0 runs
Hard to say that but Rahul Sharma bowls a Maiden over at this stage. McKenzie was struggling every time in this over and now PWI in danger. Rahul Sharma still has 1 over to bowl
