TP Sudhindra, Madhya Pradesh and Deccan Chargers
Charges: "Receiving a consideration to spot-fix" in a domestic game
Sentence: Life ban
TP Sudhindra was the leading wicket-taker in the 2011-12 Ranji Trophy Elite division, with 40 wickets from seven matches, a performance that helped Madhya Pradesh into the quarterfinals. For Sudhindra, success came after giving up on cricket twice, to pursue his studies. But he kept coming back to the game and made his Ranji Trophy debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2005-06 season. In 2007, he joined the now defunct ICL and following the BCCI's amnesty to the ICL players in 2009, Sudhindra made the most of his opportunity to get back into the state team in a pre-season practice match against Punjab, where he picked up five-for in each innings. Tall and well built, his career haul of 108 wickets in 27 first-class matches has come at an average of 22.61. He was signed by Deccan Chargers earlier this year.

Shalabh Srivastava, Uttar Pradesh and Kings XI Punjab
Charges: Agreeing to and negotiating terms to fix a match
Sentence: Five-year ban
A left-arm seamer, Shalabh Srivastava was part of the Uttar Pradesh team of the mid-2000s, a team that went on to win the Ranji Trophy in 2005-06. He was a part of Under-19 World Cup winning India team of 2000, that included the likes of Yuvraj Singh and Mohammed Kaif. Srivastava joined the ICL in 2007, and was picked up by Kings XI Punjab for the 2010 IPL season. He has 130 first-class wickets in 41 matches for Uttar Pradesh.

Mohnish Mishra, Madhya Pradesh and Pune Warriors, one-year ban
Charges: Bringing the game into disrepute through "loose talk and unsubstantiated bragging"
Sentence: One-year ban
Another ex-ICL player, Mohnish Mishra is TP Sudhindra's team-mate in the Madhya Pradesh squad, where he has established himself as a No.3 batsman. He scored 602 and 470 runs in the previous two seasons of Ranji Trophy. Mishra was part of the Deccan Chargers squad in 2010 before switching to Pune Warriors. Last year, his hard-hitting 37 against Kochi Tuskers won him a lot of praise from his captain Yuvraj Singh. However, he failed in his only game this year, after being sent in as an opener. Mishra averages 44.86 in first-class cricket, in a career that has spanned 12 years.

Amit Yadav, Goa and Kings XI Punjab, one-year ban
Charges: Bringing the game into disrepute through "loose talk and unsubstantiated bragging"
Sentence: One-year ban
Twenty-two year-old offspinner Amit Yadav represents Goa in the Ranji Trophy and has 41 first-class scalps from 14 matches. A handy batsman, Yadav also has three fifties to his name. Yadav, though part of the Kings XI squad, has never been picked in the XI.

Abhinav Bali, Himachal Pradesh, one-year ban
Charges: Bringing the game into disrepute through "loose talk and unsubstantiated bragging"
Sentence: One-year ban
Abhinav Bali debuted in first-class cricket Delhi in the 2004-05 season. After spending a couple of years in the ICL, Bali transferred to Himachal Pradesh. He bats right-handed and bowls left-arm spin. He has scored 592 runs with two centuries and picked-up 13 wickets from his 13 first-class matches.
