FTP 2 Details

FTP - 2 (121 days)

comprises of three tournaments :

1> One Day Shield ( ODS )
2> T20 Cup ( T20 C )
3> T20 KnockOut ( T20 KO )


1> One Day Shield

The One Day shield - The premier One Day tournament of CW which will test each team over a period of 4 months to decide the ultimate One Day supremo.

Total Matches - 132
Matches on - Daily : Sunday ( DOuble-Headers)

Each team faces each other team on home and away basis along the 4 months. The team ending on top at the end is the winner of the shield.


2> T20 Cup - The High Fyling and dazzling T20 competetion for the FTP-2. It is one of the two T20 competitions to be held in this period.

Total Matches - 33
Matches on - Wednesday and Saturday

12 teams to be divided in two groups each comprising of 6 teams. In a group, each team faces each other team on home and away basis with the top two teams in each group advancing to the semi-finals and then to the finals.


3> T20 KnockOut - The T20 fever rises with Knock-Out flavor added to it for the first time on CW. Winner takes it all and loosers loose everything.

Total Matches - 15
Matches on - Thursday.

2 groups of 6 teams cn be made...
now the uniqueness of the team is ....each team plays only one match n whoever wins stays
while the other gets knocked out..
so in each group in first phase thr will be 3 matches hence 3 teams...
so frm each grp 3 teams in total 6 teams go to second phase...
now again another knockout n at the end 3 teams stay...
these 3 teams nw goes into the golden phase...

Here they battle out with each team playing 2 matches each...now a twist..no points will be given...only runrate will be given..
after all the games get over the team with the best NRR wins the trophy...

out of this tournament my favorite is t20 knock out

its kind of tricky but it will be really fun and tense

one is that so thursday, saturday, and wednesday there wont be any odi matches?

and when the auction will be held?
