T20 Boom | The Finals - Roaring Warriors vs AlfaStars
First topic message reminder :
Hello and Welcome to the Cw Arena for one final time this season.
It's the Roaring Warriors taking on AlfaStars in the Finals of the T20 Boom.
Venue - Cw Arena
Time - 7pm IST
Team Report
Roaring Warriors
The pre-tournament favourites! They certainly have lived up to the hype surrounding them. An extremely good auction helped them form an almost invincible team which centred around legendary F Players of CwSim.
They did stumble early on but as every champion team does, they recovered from it and are now on an unbeaten run of 5 games.
Players to Watch out for :
Hashim Amla - The elegant South-African has been an integral cog of the RW wheel. After a below par start to the tournament, Amla struck form in the second half of the tournament and hasn't looked back since then.
Previous game - 43 runs off 26 balls.
Sriram Ramesh - Amla's partner in crime at the top of the order. Sriram hasn't had the best of tournaments, often getting starts but failing to convert them. He will be hoping to turn it around when it matters the most.
Previous game - First ball duck
Eishan Jain - The Warriors' Vice captain. He has been at his absolute best for them since the very start and will be hoping to carry on his form from the previous game.
Previous game - 4-0-28-3 [MotM]
Team form : WLWLWWWWW
AlfaStars
The underdogs who've punched way above their weight. No-one really expected them to qualify to the second round let alone make it to the Finals. They sure have proven everyone wrong by emphatically beating the heavy-weights, Hurricanes, to book a place in the Finals.
A stuttering start to the campaign where they lost 3 out of their first 4 matches had all but put AS out of the tournament before a late surge helped them progress.
Players to watch out for :
Rishabh Tandon - The owner of AlfaStars. The burly North-Indian got off to the worst start possible, failing to register a score in double digits for 4 straight games, but managed to peak at the right time. AS will be hoping for him to give a solid start to them once again.
Previous match - 85 runs off 54 balls[MotM]
Asela Gunaratne - The man of the tournament so far for AS. He too had a poor start owing to constant shifts in batting positions but hit the ground running straightaway once given the opening slot. He in on a roll currently, having scoring a Fifty in each of his last 3 matches.
Previous match - 84 runs off 62 balls[MotM]
Dhoni Raju - The best bowler of AlfaStars. He had an excellent start to the tournament and has continued in the same vein, picking up atleast one wicket in each match he has played in. Much will be expected from him tonight.
Team Form : LWLLLWWWW
Pitch Report
A similar pitch to that of the Semi-Finals. Has a bit for everyone out there. Expect a thrilling contest between bat and ball tonight.
