1st Innings Summary:

Kolkata Warriors got off to a worst possible task before Niladri Debroy and Manoj Tiwary settled the innings adding 50 runs in no time. Two quick wickets and the onus was back to Wriddhiman Saha and the skipper of the team, Sarthak Mondal to take Kolkata Warriors to a safe total. Ankush Nanda struck to remove Saha before Sarthak Mondal and Laxmi Ratan Shukla decided to consolidate the innings and keep wickets in hand till 40 overs. Once the 40th over was up, both of them kept the pedal on the accelarator and Sarthak smashed 162 runs off 140 balls, ably supported by Laxmi Ratan Shukla to take the total to 360 for 4 in 50 overs


2nd Innings Summary:

With the pressure of a huge total, Tushar Vipul and Ashoke Dinda capitalised, removing Sachin Tendulkar and and Aditya Sinha in no time. Wasim Jaffer and Harshit Parikh took the charge but Dinda and Tushar Vipul removed both of them in their return spell. S.m. Zakaria was expensive as Jai Kumar and Abhishek Nayar started smashin all around the park but with Bik Paul, Aman Chaturvedi and Laxmi Ratan Shukla around, Kolkata Heroes made sure that the run-rate never came down and eventually sealed the deal by 86 runs.

1st Innings Summary:

Winning the toss and electing to bat, Bangalore Bullets got off to a slow start before Parvinder Awana and Saket Tharad ended the misery of Deb Roy and his opening partner Chidambaram Gautam. Fortunately the middle order clicked for them as Manish Pandey (93), Rahul Dravid (55) and Kiran Terrance (53) scored half centuries, before a quick-fire 38 from Robin Uthappa set the Delhi side 302 runs to win.

2nd Innings Summary:

Rizwan Mansoori and HS Sharath bowled the spell of their lives as Virender Sehwag was removed for 8 and Tushar Arora soon blinked for 15. Rahul Mohapatra was taken to cleaners in the initial overs but he bounced back to pick up wickets. Saket Tharad was initially slow, but mastered his way to 71, before Vinay Kumar applied the breaks, picking up 4 wickets and Deb Roy and Kiran Terrance also mastered their way to a wicket a piece.
