Micromax Cup | Bangladesh vs New Zealand at Sher-e- Bangla National Stadium | 8th August
First topic message reminder :
Two best-friends, face off for one more time!
Bangladesh got off to a great start to their tri-series campaign. Bangladesh were up against a strong West Indies lineup who were looking for vengeance after their loss in the T20 WC finals against England last month. Their team and captain had lot to be happy for from this encounter. The bowlers were always bowling in good length which explains the great figures of 10-28-1 from Mashrafe Mortaza. In-swing bowler Nazmul Hossain was the pick of the bowlers with three convincing scalps. The Bangladesh batsmen got off a flier in the 252 runs target with the openers looking suitable for the job. Rishabh Tandon and Fardin Kibria took matters into their own hands and handed Bangladesh a 7 run victory courtesy to their fantastic display of batting. Both batsmen scored 50+ with Rishabh going onto scoring a great 100 and Fardin left stalled at 89. Will Bangladesh continue the momentum from the first game? Well, we just have to wait and figure out.
This is a team filled with stars. They have shown their potential in the T20 WC and would love to continue doing this same in the OD format. There is nothing much to say before things get rolling at the SBNCS. Yasin Iqbal is a great captain for the New Zealand team and Brendon McCullum is the most potential batsmen. Rosco and co. would like to pitch in with runs while Dan Vettori would love to see of his all-round performance against the World No.1 Shakib Al Hasan. What kind of start will they have?
