KFC T20 Blitz : HR vs WD 2nd T20 : 4th May
First topic message reminder :
2nd Twenty20
Time : 8 P.M. IST
Venue : Eden Gardens
Pitch Condition : Dry and Pacy
The Dominators are leading 1-0 in this series after the first T20 clash. The Dominators outplayed the Hurricanes completely in the first game. The Hurricanes batting was torn apart and so was their bowling attack. Nothing could stop the Dominators from taking revenge of that T20 Boom Semi Final defeat. Now it is time for the second chapter of this new rivalry. Will the Hurricanes be able to stop the Dominators or will the Beast run wild again ?
Now let's have a look at how the teams performed in the last game and what more can be expected from them in the second game.
Hurricanes :
Fresh from a defeat at the hands of the Cosmos in the final of the T20 Boom, the home side were all geared up to win the first T20 battle but the result went wayward as they lost the match by 9 wickets in the end. Poor Bowling and some even poor batting led to their demise. All they can wish for now is that their batsmen pick up the responsibility to score huge and their bowlers get the early breakthroughs and put pressure straightaway on one of the finest batting line ups of CW.
Chris Gayle : 12 (7)
The Big West Indies Batsman is one of the key players for the Hurricanes and it has been long since he has performed for them and played a match winning knock for them. Even in the Final of the T20 Boom, he played very slowly and that cost them the game and the trophy. The monster has to wake up from his slumber and do what his team expects him to do.
Sourav Chakraborty : 4-0-31-0
Sourav burst on the screen with a spectacular 7 wicket haul against this same team and then later in the T20 Boom picked up a 5 wicket haul against the Thunderbolts. Other than these two occasions, there has hardly been anything great from this guy. The team depends on him every time he goes there to bowl for the HR but he hasn't yet lived up to the expectations.
Dominators :
WOW ! What a day it was for the Dominators. Precise bowling and devastating batting. Perfection at it's best. Nothing looked wrong for them as they thrashed the T20 Boom finalists in their own backyard. The Dominators just need to win this match and get the series to their name. Will they be able to do so ? Well, let's find that out on 4th May !
Brendon McCullum : 70(35)
When this man gets going there is no need for any fielders in the ground. And the scary part is he gets going more often than not. He blistered the Hurricanes the other night as the WD took a 1-0 lead in the 3 match series and climbed higher in the T20 runs getter list along with the legend. Sachin Tendulkar !
Sachin Tendulkar : 77*(52)
The run machine continues his dream form in CWSim as he bashed up the Hurricanes bowlers once again and helped the Dominators to a win. The Maestro is getting closer and closer to 1,000 CWSim T20 career runs now and also the first one to do so. There is no one stopping him at the moment.
Saeed Ajmal : 4-0-39-4
The magician as they call him ripped through the HR batting line up the other night. They opening bowlers got bashed up and then came Ajmal to get wickets at a regular pace and drown the HR ship in no time. Can he deliver once again in the 2nd T20 for the Dominators or will the Hurricanes be able to play him better than they did in the first game ?

OUT, Caught! Slower ball, and A Voges connects with the pull, only to hole out to the fielder.
And Ajmal does it yet again !
4th wicket down now for the Hurricanes !
Hurricanes attacking a bit too much maybe !
ajmal into action
will this series be ajmal vs kp
