Pepsi T20 Boom - Match No. 5: Cosmos vs Thunderbolts - April 5, 2013
First topic message reminder :
We are all set for the 5th Match of Pepsi T20 Boom as Thunderbolts will be facing Cosmos in Cuttack. Thunderbolts lost their first match against Hurricanes while Cosmos won their first match against Roaring Warriors. Alex Cusack from Thunderbolts is banned for 2 matches.
Can we expect another thriller in Cuttack??
Last Match Performance:
Darren Bravo: 52 runs (46b, 3x4, 2x6)
Thunderbolts wont be happy with their start as they lost their first match against Hurricanes. Their batting was very poor as they lost all their 10 wickets for just 122. Only Bravo batted well for Thunderbolts as he scored 52 off 46 balls while he got some support from Captain Akmal. They have to improve their batting so that they can score a good total against strong Cosmos.
Last Match Performance:
Graeme Swann: 4-0-39-2
Thunderbolts will face another problem as Cusack is banned for 2 matches. Already their bowling performance was not upto the mark and now they don't have Cusack. It will be interesting to see which player will play tonight in place of Cusack. All eyes on Swann who was slightly better than rest of the bowlers against Hurricanes.
Can they win this big match without Alex Cusack?
Last Match Performance:
Michael Hussey: 72 runs (47b, 3x4, 4x6)
After winning the first match against Roaring Warriors, Cosmos are looking more strong and better. They would love to win this match without any problem. Their batsmen are looking in impressive form except the openers who failed to give a good start to Cosmos. Michael Hussey was brilliant against Warriors along with Viresh as both of these players scored a brilliant 50. They will definitely try their level best to score quickly.
Last Match Performance:
Daniel Vettori: 4-0-16-3
It was another great effort by bowlers as they were able to restrict Roaring Warriors for just 126 on a dry pitch and all credit goes to Vettori who bowled a brilliant spell. He got 3 wickets off 4 overs and gave just 16 runs while Afridi and Broad also bowled brilliantly. They were economical and very dangerous as well. It will be very tough challenge for Thunderbolts batsmen to face these kind of bowlers.
