The area you placed the players are in the middle of the image. That at first sight ruins it. You could use a soft brush about 4px or 5px (whatever you feel right) and erase the bottom part of the players to make it look "realistic". The players are wide as well. The image is too small in my book (personal taste), but don't let my personal taste affect your work.
The players are wide and the text doesn't blend in with the background. The color of the text makes it hard to read.
You squished everything...nd i don't like the choice of text either. Pick some eye pleasing texts, this isn't eye pleasing (at least for me).
I like how you thought about making this. Some players are a bit wide and some are a bit narrow but the player on the far right (left on the image) looks alright. The text doesn't blend in, again. You should really work on your text...even I'm not all that good when it comes to texts. To be honest, I still lack very much in that department.
