The HR Journey
I don't know about other teams but I am very emotionally attached to our team The Hurricanes. So I thought of writing this. Will be obliged if you guys can spare few mins and read it
CWC June 2012 : For last two months, we managed to win just 3 games out of 4 series we played. That was disheartening for us and very shameful indeed. But still there was no way getting out of it. We tried and tried and kept losing each time. Few days were left before this big tournament or shall I say, the daddy of all tournaments on CS. Luckily we got players like Brett Lee and Andrew Strauss which instilled some confidence in us. We felt that yes maybe we would manage to win few matches this time and challenge other teams. Then it all begun.
June 6, 2012 vs Cosmos :
Wow. We were excited but fear in mind as the name opposite to us are know to murder their foes brutally. We had lots of plans and discussion going into the game. Finally we thought of the best line-up possible and guess what, we managed to create a major upset by winning a thriller and defending a target just above 200. Any team would reach the moon after such a win and it was same for us. HR found two new heroes in Parth and Fahad who were the key contributor in that game. Yea enjoyed the game a lot.
June 8, 2012 vs Dynamos :
With a win in pocket we faced the Dynamos next. We were ready for another challenge, knew that Dynamos would try beat us and reach no.1 spot in the group. Bowling first our pacers did wonders and restricted them to about 200 odd runs and duo of Tendo and Haseeh brought a comfortable win for us. Man o Man, we started to get a weird feeling that maybe this is going to be the month for us.
June 14, 2012 vs Shadows :
After a long break we visited the Shadows. With 2 wins from 2, we were confident on a good show. Bowling first, we gave away too many runs at the end and had a huge total to chase. Our opening batsmen like always failed in this game too. RRR reached 8, all key wickets gone except Haseeh and Samaraweera, the two new batsmen. Me and Parth were chatting in gtalk and he kept me saying keep faith keep praying ! This aint over. And his praying made us see one of the greatest wins ever. Haseeh and Samraweera butchered the bowlers and made us win another thriller. Make that 3 wins in 3. Yeaaahaaww !!
June 18, 2012 vs Cosmos :
Cool, calm and confident. We did some small experiments in this game know that we knew that we needed just one win of three games to reach the next level. Batting totally failed and we got bowler out for 187 runs. Our bowlers though did a commendable job getting 6 of their wickets and making them feeling the heat a bit. Finally we lost the game and had ourselves to blame. 2 games left 1 to win.
June 20, 2012 vs Dynamos :
Last time we beat them and snatched the first position in group, so this time too we tried to repeat the same. We fielded our best XI but batting worries continued. This time we crossed 200 runs but that was just like a piece of cake for The Dynamos. Rish played a great innings and took his home side. Wait a minute. ONE GAME TO GO. 1 TO Qualify !
June 26, 2012 vs Shadows :
Exactly 20 days from the day we player our first game in CWC 2012, we faced a stern challenge of beating the Shadows or losing a close match to reach the semis. The whole team was too tensed for this game. We won the toss and batter first. For the first time, I managed to bat freely and score few runs. Then 3 quick wickets fall and once again we went to back foot. But today Haseeh and Tendo had other plans. Ten Doeschate made 71 while Haseeh got his first Ton of career. He stayed not out on 100. With a big total on the board, we were relaxed and felt that its about time to prepare our team for the Semis against Warriors. But that luck factor once again deceived us. Dravid, Guptill and Johny went on to win the match for the Shadows and take them to the semis and shatter all our hopes and dreams. We still could not believe that the bowling that had won us matches against teams like Cosmos and Dynamos 2 weeks back failed to even bother the Shadows batsmen. Well in the end, hearts got shattered, hopes and dreams burnt to the ashes. The game made me remember of the Enforcer's cup. We needed a win vs Gladiators to reach the finals. We got a huge total on board but then Dilshan made the first ever 100 in T20 CS and we got knocked out. Maybe we are never destined to be winners, maybe this is our fate !
Thanks for reading
Hope next time the ending would be better

What an article
Failure doesnt mean that you cant bring some success in your life.
It's just a delay to your success.
So wait and watch and you might be the T20 Boom Champs.
