Match Preview :
With the series even poised at 2-2, we are all set for a superb finale tonight here at Eden Park.
After AS winning the first two matches at this very ground, the Wellington leg of the series saw TBK Hawks turn the tables on the home team, which saw them level the series and take it right down to the wire. AS would be pretty happy with the series being held at Auckland rather than Wellington, which the Hawks turned into their hunting ground.
Head to Head record : 2-2
TBK Hawks:
The Hawks have a superb bowling line-up. Their only worry so far has been regarding their batting line-up but with the additions of David Warner and Buddhaditya Chattopadhya going from strength to strength, the Hawks finally seem to have found the right combination.
TBK Hawks will be relying on this man, David Warner, to once again lead the batting unit and post a massive total.
AlfaStars:
The Alfastars have a few concerns which need to be addressed straight away, the first of them being the batting.
While the first two matches saw them chase down totals with apparent ease, the next two matches saw the Hawks bowling line-up wreck havoc with the AlfaStars collapsing to 138 all out chasing 229 in the latest match. They will be looking to sort it out before heading into the final match of the OD series.
Rishabh Tandon of AS was seen sweating it out in the pre-match nets session. He'll have a massive role to play if the Stars are to win this game.
Pitch Report :
AlfaStars skipper James Faulkner has asked for a hard pitch and the curator grants him just what he wanted.
A similar pitch to what was used in the first 2 ODs, the pitch brought a smile on the faces of all the players of AS.
TBK Hawks weren't pleased one bit. Their Wicket-Keeper Akash Dharmaraja even booked a ticket back to Wellington but Yasin Iqbal quickly handed him a lollypop, something that made Akash stay back.
Yasin himself on the other hand was seen trying to moisten the pitch a bit by crying around the central area before the security stepped in and took him away from the pitch.
