Champions Cup|Match 3 : Devils United VS The Immortals on 9th September
First topic message reminder :
THE DEVILS UNITED
The Devils United are a team filled with good bowlers and batsman but is the most hated team of CWSim_newEra. They are playing their second match. In the first match they beat the strongest looking team of the season The Galacticos by a big margin and will be looking to continue the momentum. Their Batting looked really strong in the first match scoring a total of 311 VS the world class bowlers. Looking at the dry looking pitch at the Eden Gardens and the fact that their opposition's bowlers wont be as good as in the first match would also go in their favour. But cricket is a funny game they say! Dilshan,Abd,Fahad,Clarke and Akmal are all proven match winners which shows that their batting is not heavily dependent upon individuals. Their Bowling also looked really well. They managed to restrict The Galacticos on 231. Venky and Dockrell did a brilliant job bowling with New Ball and later on Cusack, Gul and Ashraf did their job really well. Cusack picked 5 wickets whereas Gul and Ashraf bowled accurately not giving the batsmen any chance to score freely. However,a lot better effort would be required on a slowish spin supportive pitch at their home ground. And to add to that, the batting of their opponents looks far more superior to that of the Galacticos. Can the bowlers wreck havoc again? Only time will give the answer.
THE IMMORTALS
The Immortals are playing their first match in CWSim_newEra . They have a good bowling and an awesome looking batting line up.Their batting line up is star-studded with the likes of Kevin Pietersen, Shane Watson, Hashim Amla and Kumar Sangakkara. Sourav Chakraborty and Viresh Mathad will play a big role for them. They lack fast bowlers. They have Vernon Philinder and Ryan McLaren among the pacers who have quietly but smartly proven their worth before. Kevin Pietersen has a great record in CWSim and The Immortals will be hoping big from him. Hashim Amla - The most consistent batsman in CWSim will be very crucial for their fortunes. Greame Swann will lead the spin attack for them. All Rounders Shane Watson and Mohammad hafeez will have to play an important part to their success. Team looks well balanced on paper but how they click together is still a question for many.

End of 1st Innings
Thats the end of the first innings. The The Devils have reached a good score here. They have made 272 for the loss of 7 wickets. An intriguing chase awaits us
The way de Villiers was batting, it was looking 300+ target but hafeez Swann and Viresh brought them back
