CW World T20 Final : West Indies vs England
First topic message reminder :
A month has passed by and now we are just one match away from determining the champions of the first edition of CW World T20. The two teams to reach thus far are West Indies and England. While the calypso kings defeated Australia in the first semi final clash, the English boys edged past New Zealand to reach the Finale. Now let us have a look at both the teams.
The West Indies team had a tense semi final clash. Their batting was immensely strong as they made a big total at the loss of just a single wicket. But what will haunt them in the final is the absence of Jonathan Charles who made an unbeaten 91 in the Semi Final match. Luckily one of the strengths of the West Indies team has been their reserve players. Almost all their reserve players have done well so far and they will hope the same to happen tonight too. We also saw Ravi Gupta get to his first 50. So far, he had made two 40s and finally he got his half century in the first semi final. Their bowling looked good too and Sriram was once again amongst the wickets. Even Sourav was good at the death overs. So in total the West Indies team had produced a clinical performance. Let's see what can they do tonight !
England on the other hand had a much more tensed and intriguing battle in their semi final clash. They faced the kiwis who at a stage were looking as clear winners. But Joe Root had other plans. The New Zealand team piled on a more than average score on this pitch batting first. In reply the English team kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and it was left to the last batting pair of Joe Root and Stuart Broad to produce some miracle ! And they did exactly that. Root played with unbelievably good confidence as he kept on attacking the bowlers. Finally England managed to win the match without losing any more wicket. England will be a dangerous side tonight having the likes of Anurag Choudhary and Vignesh Nair too in some form with ball and bat respectively.
We have seen Sriram Ramesh bowl some beautiful deliveries in this tournament so far and he has picked up some valuable wickets all throughout the series. Tonight, his target must be the big fish of English batting line up that is Vighnesh Nair. One the other hand Vighnesh will love to smack him around and get some runs out of him. So it will be a fine battle to watch out for. None of the two like to play the defensive game.
Yet another fascinating battle will come in the form of the new star Ravi Gupta going against one of the best bowlers in CWsim - Anurag Choudhary. One of the things that Anurag hates the most is to go for runs and that is what exactly Ravi has been doing. He keeps on attacking the bowlers and getting those boundaries every now and then. Can Ravi do the same to Anurag too ?

Over - 16.1: DW Bravo to J Trott: 6 RUNS
Distance : 94 meters
SIX, mows a length ball over midwicket, he follows the line closely and swings it with the angle in to the crowd.
This is serious exploitation of windies bowlers

Re: CW World T20 Final : West Indies vs England
I have never seen anywhere that the knockout stages (i.e. quarters, semis and finals) are considered to determine the highest run scorer. It is always the group stage matches
