KFC T20 Blitz : HR vs WD 1st T20 : 1st May
First topic message reminder :
1st Twenty20
Time : 10 P.M. IST
Venue : Eden Gardens
Pitch Condition : Dry and Pacy
Twenty20 Action returns after a thrilling month of April where we
witnessed some nail biting contests. The T20 Boom finalists are all set
to face the World Dominators. It was the WD the Hurricanes beat in the
semi final clash in a high octane match. So expect another thriller when
these two face off tonight for the first match of the series.
Now Let's have a look at both the teams and their chances to win the first T20.
Hurricanes :
The home team will once again want to win against the Dominators and prove that their semi final win wasn't a fluke and that they are a better T20 side than the Dominators currently. The Hurricanes are a more balanced unit now after getting two key players in the form of Shakib al Hasan and Mudassar Bukhari. These two will play a major role in this tour and will definitely help the Hurricanes in their cause.
Strength :
Their main strength will be the fact that they are hosting this tour and they will definitely try to make the pitches as per their liking. They have gone in for a fast pitch which will help their pacers. They have got quite a few pacers in their team who are going to play a huge role here at the Eden Gardens.
Weakness:
The Hurricanes have often failed to chase down totals in the recent days. Even low targets have caused problems for them. The Dominators will try to make hay of that. Hurricanes have also have had consistency issues with their bowling attack. Their spearhead Sourav has often failed to deliver in important matches.
Dominators :
The Dominators are still eagerly waiting for a chance to have their revenge on the Hurricanes. The Dominators faced a humiliating loss at the hands of the Hurricanes in the recently concluded Pepsi T20 Boom. Their main strength - batting looked very fragile as their batting line up was torn apart on a green seaming track. But things have changed now. Hurricanes lost the final and are now back seeking a win.
Strength :
Their top 4 batsmen make one of the best entertaining and sought after batting line up. Sachin Tendulkar and Brendon Mccullum are in the top two of the top run getter's list. That itself shows how strong their batting has been especially in this format.
Weakness :
Their bowling will be a bit of concern in this tour as they don't have that many fast bowlers in their squad. And this pitch aids the pacers more than the spinners. So that will be a big concern for them. So they will have to overcome that some way or the other.

Re: KFC T20 Blitz : HR vs WD 1st T20 : 1st May
15.2
Balaji to Warner, FOUR, is this the shot of the game? certainly one of the best, shortish in length and a gently flick of the wrist gets away to the deep square-leg region fro a four, 50 for Warner too!
15.1
Balaji to Warner, FOUR, slow bouncer from Balaji and easily thumped away through mid-wicket for a four, easily played away
