The first test turned out to be an absolute cracker of a match....it had every bit of element needed to make a test match interesting frm day 1 to the very last ball of day 5....the pitch played a halleluah with both the teams...making each batsman guess hw the ball will react to the pitch n also giving a constant assistance to the bowlers who had a field's day making all sorts of experiment with the kokabura ball.....Toss which has played the pivotal role till nw again succeeded not to fail n warriors won it n decided to bat....Scoring run on this pitch was like searching for water in the sahara desert....Boundaries were seen as boon of hope while patience became the pillar of the tournament...With players like Deep scoring his debut half century at one end....on the other hand viresh n watson narrowly missed their debut centuries.....Warriors baidwan n philander performed admirably while cosmos steyn n vettori kept to their words n delivered in a pristine manner...With a final target of 198 to win from 100 overs one may have thought tht cosmos got this in their bag....Out came the rabbit from the hat n warriors shattered the mirrors of cosmos with them reeling for 41 at the loss of 4 wickets...Thn came the resilience innings of laxman....anchored his feet to the deeper cores of the pitch....with the help of afridi took cosmos out of the danger zone...with the last moments sudden hope of warriors defeating the cosmos...the cosmos kept their nerves calm as a autumn morning n down came to the last over with 4 runs to win....Victory was within the grasp of cosmos but as one says "so near yet so far"...n starc did a proverbial over with givin only 2 runs....A magnificent numero uno test match was seen for 5 days...n now we come down to the last event of this equinox tour...the second n last test match .....time to see wat more sparks left to be seen frm these 2 legend teams.....
