Points Table for T20 League of Champions
Updated till 14th Jan,2012 Matches
Group 1
Group 2
NRR Corrected Up to 3 Decimal Point
Team Names Are Written In Numerical Order they got from the Draw.
W-Win, L-Lost, T-Tie, MP-Match Pts, BP-Bonus Pts,CP-Consolation Pts, TP-Total Pts, NRR-Net Run Rate.
Brown Colour in the Team Name column indicates that those teams are eliminated from LOC
Note:
1.If the team batting first restricts its opponents to 80% of its total, it
gains a bonus point. If the team batting second wins the match in 40
overs, it gains a bonus point.
1 consolation point will be awarded to the losing team if they denied the winning team from receiving the bonus point.
eg:If A scores 140 batting 1st then if B chases 141 in 16 overs or less then B
gets a bonus a Point & if B chases it after 16 overs then A gets a consolation Point.
On the contrary, if A restricts B to 112(112=80% of 140) or below then A gets a Bonus Point. But if A restricts B after 112 but before 140 then B gets a Consolation pt.
2.For Each Win-4 Pts, For Each Loss- 0 Pts, For Each Tie- 2 Pts.
3.Run Rate Calculation uses 6 as its Base.So its formula is (Runs Scored)/(Number of Legal Balls faced/6) i.e (Runs Scored * 6)/(Number of
Legal Balls faced).
4.In NRR,For means (Total Runs scored by a Team /Number of overs Faced)
Against means (Total Runs scored Against a Team/Number of overs bowled).
The base 6 rule written above is also applied here.So Number of Overs Bowled or Faced is actually the Number of Legal Balls/6 NRR of a Team= For - Against.
For More Details Visit Here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NRR
5.If a Team fails to play full 20 overs & is bowled out before,it is taken as 20 overs in NRR calculation. But if a team chases a total before 20 overs, then the number of overs taken into consideration in NRR calculation is the number of overs they actually take to chase it.
6.Anyone can Challenge My Calculations & Ask for a Review any number of
times without hesitation.Kindly also mention the name of teams for which you are asking a Review. It can be Your Team or Others Team also.

Re: Points Table for T20 League of Champions(Qualifiers), January 2012
New Thread have been made for LOC Points.
Just wanted to say one thing-- From the Points Table, you can ensure that BP or CP doesn't give any team unfair advantage to any team.
The teams getting BP or CP have better NRR too .
You can see if there was no BP or CP, still Dragons would have qualified for LOC because of higher NRR.
