For England, for ages, it has a always been Ashes,Ashes and only Ashes. No doubt Ashes provides fun, excitement, competitiveness etc etc more than any other cricket series. But you cannot conquer the world simply by beating Australia.This fact was made to realize to English cricket by Andy Flower.Since then, England have set their path to conquer the world and till now have succeeded very well.
From tomorrow, England will set their foot to conquer the sub-continent.
India vs England,the ODI series wouldn't have been of so importance had it not been Andy Flower. Of course, ultimate test for England will be to beat India in India in test which will be played in 2012.
For the past 8 months England have given India some nightmares next only to Australia in last 12 years.
Starting with the World Cup 2011 encounter,where England tied to India after chasing 338, then whitewashed them in test in their own backyard 4-0,1-0 in T20,3-0 in ODI.
Inspite of depleted Indian side,India holds the upperhand in this series
because they are playing at home and limited ability of English player
to adapt to the heat of India(Although, winter has started).
This series will set the tone for the India vs England, 4 test match series in October 2012.
