KFC presents Hurricanes Premier League T20: Bigger & Better
For the first time in the history of Cricket World, you will see franchisee based domestic cricket. Yes, you are right!!! This is the first time in CW, you will witness franchisee based Premier League. The idea was given by Sarthak Mondal to the higher authorities of Hurricanes and it was given a thumbs-up within a few minutes without reading the letter.
PRESS CONFERENCES:
Sarthak Mondal (Chairman, HPL): I feel extremely honoured that my proposed idea for HPL has been approved by the Hurricanes Cricket Board. Would like to give you all entertainment through HPL. I bet this idea didn't came to any of the owners in CW (For ideas, you also need to watch news and talk with Lalit Modi on twitter). Full auctions will be held for this HPL and there will be 5 teams in total (including the Purple Brigade, so as our performance for 2nd team supremacy improves). Each team will play the other twice on a home and away basis, with the top team directly qualifying for the finals and the second and third placed team playing an one-off knock-out match to qualify for the finals. The matches will be held at Eden Gardens (Kolkata), Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai) and Eden Park (Auckland), with the play-off being held in Auckland and the finals in Kolkata.
Sourav Chakraborty (Manager, Hurricanes): A good idea by Sarthak. We are just happy that he is back. His experience will help the Purple Franchise. Get ready for a bigger and better Hurricanes Premier League. It will be a league that you have never seen before and we expect you will never see it again.
